After finishing my series of boxing tutorials, I haven’t had a lot of time for crafty projects lately. Today I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to indulge myself.
Rummikub is one of my wife’s all-time favorite games. We previously had a crappy travel set we hated playing with, which we replaced with a couple new full-size boxes from Target (we got two so we could play up to 8 players).
As with all mass-market games, the boxes are garbage. Awful corrugated cardboard with a fold instead of a lid, and they open sideways. SIDEWAYS. What kind of weird world is this?
Anyway, I designed all new graphics and re-boxed the game using a modified version of the method I detailed in my two-piece bit-box tutorial. (at the end of that post, you’ll see my reboxing of Cathedral, in which I used the same method).
