Holy cow, I can’t believe I missed Mintage Monday yesterday! So I’ll just do it today and call it… Treasure Tuesday? I dunno.

Anyhoo, this week’s metal coinage extravaganza belongs to Stonemaier Games’s Scythe! Stonemaier was among the first batch of companies making bespoke metal coins for their games when they released the very awesome coins for Viticulture. They followed suit on quality with these coins, which are some of my favorites!

They can be purchased separately from the game (although the 2- and 50-value coins are not included in that set). They’re almost so thematic they become themeless, with each coin loosely based on a real-world 19th century currency, and each corresponding to one of the game’s 7 country-factions.

They really are awesome, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking to add that clinky little aesthetic boost to their retail copy of Scythe!
