Everything’s easier now that BoardGameGeek has a button upgrade you can just buy, but when I did this upgrade several years ago, I was genuinely surprised how hard it was to find large quantities of the same button style in a color.

I could find all kinds of large packs of random buttons, but if I wanted a consistent style, I had to buy them in small packs and the price would’ve been prohibitive.

I got lucky in finding a large pack of the small buttons, but I actually don’t like them as they’re too small and thin. I might end up just buying the BGG pack anyway!
