If you go back in time, you’ll find my metal coin solution for Suburbia used to be generic pachinko tokens. Which were… fine… but I was SUPER excited to find out they were making metal coins for Suburbia CE. And they don’t disappoint!

The design is attractive, the finish is great, the weight and heft are spot on, and they sound fantastic. The 1s are just a tad small, but that’s balanced by their thickness, so they’re still easy to manipulate.

My only gripe? There aren’t quite enough in the box. Bezier definitely went the route of bare minimum, including only barely enough coins to fund a 5p game, and forcing players to spend a LOT of time making change in later rounds. If it were my design, I’d’ve included about half again more coins, and if they decide to mint and sell them separately, I will absolutely buy a set.
That gripe aside, though, these are absolutely fantastic coins and a great addition to a beautiful production.
